Wall Preparation
Fill in any holes with vinyl spackling compound
Allow time to dry and sand smooth
Wash walls with an all purpose cleaner
Prep walls with a one-step acrylic primer/sealer
Textured Wall Options:
1. Use a broad knife to spread joint compound to desired smoothness
Let dry, clean and prime as instructed above
2. Sand to desired smoothness then clean and prime as instructed above
3. Prepare walls as instructed above. Hang lining paper with a heavy duty adhesive
Prime walls again with a one-step acrylic primer/sealer
Installation
1. Start with a dry smooth, clean white wall
(see ‘Wall Preparation’ for more details)
2. Gather supplies -
measuring tape or ruler, cutting tool, pencil, leveler, wallpaper adhesive paste, adhesive tray, adhesive roller or applicator, wallpaper smoother
​(We recommend the use of Pro Clear 880 pastes or similar solvent free products. Solvent based or dispersion pastes can result in the removal of inks)
3. Measure the paper width, mark that distance on the wall, and draw your 'plumb' line from that using the leveler
Double check your plumb line width all the way down. ALL future panels line up from this line
4. Lay two wallcovering panels out on floor to match the pattern
5. Apply solvent free wallpaper paste to the wall
6. Hang the first panel, using the plumb line for guidance and your smoothing tool to push out air bubbles
7. Repeat with other panels until desired area is covered
(You can move and adjust paper if needed for corrections)
8. Use a damp cloth to remove any excess wallcovering paste from the wallcovering
9. Use the cutting tool to cut excess wallcovering from around window edges, molding, electrical sockets etc.
10. Enjoy your new decor!
